Associate Podiatrist

Joshua McKernan

Joshua enjoys treating patients of all ages and has a special interest in sports-related injuries, working with everyone from weekend warriors to serious athletes.

Joshua graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2011 with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine and has been helping people keep their feet healthy and pain-free ever since. He enjoys treating patients of all ages and has a special interest in sports-related injuries, working with everyone from weekend warriors to serious athletes.

One of Joshua’s unique experiences was working as a boot fitter in the ski fields of Japan, where he helped people manage foot and lower leg discomfort caused by the demands of ski and snowboard boots. This hands-on experience gave him a deep understanding of how footwear, movement, and biomechanics all work together—and how small adjustments can make a huge difference.

Joshua is passionate about finding practical, personalised solutions that help people stay active, comfortable, and able to enjoy the activities they love. Whether it’s recovering from a sports injury, getting the right orthotic support, or managing everyday foot problems, he combines professional expertise with a friendly, approachable manner to make sure every patient feels confident and cared for.

Outside of the clinic, Joshua enjoys staying active and understanding the challenges his patients face, which helps him provide care that’s both effective and realistic for real life.
