At Malibu Podiatry, our commitment is to provide high-quality, timely care to all of our patients. To help us do so, we have implemented the following cancellation policy.
When an appointment is scheduled, that time is reserved exclusively for you.
Late cancellations and missed appointments prevent us from offering that time to another patient in need of care, often on short notice. As a podiatry clinic, many of our services involve complex scheduling and preparation, which can be significantly impacted when patients do not arrive as planned.
Our Policy
We respectfully request at least 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellation or rescheduling. Appointments cancelled or missed without this notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
This policy applies to both initial consultations and follow-up visits.
Why It Matters
Efficiency
It allows us to better utilise our schedule to accommodate urgent cases and patients who may be waiting for an earlier appointment.
Fairness
It helps ensure that all patients have equitable access to our time and resources.
Sustainability
Missed appointments represent a financial loss to the clinic, affecting our ability to invest in advanced equipment and maintain affordable services for all.
Fee for Failure to Attend / Late Cancellation
Appointments cancelled without adequate notice as stipulated above will incur a failure to attend/cancellation fee of $55.00. Payment of this fee is required prior to any further treatment at Malibu Podiatry.
Please be aware that this fee is not claimable through Medicare or Private Health Insurance.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances do arise, and we are always willing to consider individual situations with compassion. Our goal is not to penalise, but to encourage mutual respect of each other’s time.
